FOR THE KIDS/YOUTH
Dear GCBC Parents:
As in the past weeks of worship at home, I have prepared a few things for families to use to go along with the sermon. Please take time to talk with your children about what they are learning and experiencing in their own faith.
My prayer for us this week comes from Philippians 1:9-11 – “I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation — the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ — for this will bring much glory and praise to God.”
God Bless,
Mandy

Digging Deeper Verses (for children & youth) – Draw or write down your thoughts on these verses
Matthew 22:36-40 – “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
Colossians 1:15-17 – Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.
1 Timothy 4:12 – Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
Isaiah 44:6 – This is what the Lord says — Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies: “I am the First and the Last; there is no other God.”
Revelation 22:13 – (Jesus says) “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
