Dear GCBC Parents:
Our sermon this week will be from Titus 2:11-14. We are taking a break from Romans and discovering God’s grace from these verses in Titus. We see a lot of action words coming from God’s grace in these few verses…words like appeared, bringing, training, and waiting. Talk about these words with your children.
-
-
- When did God’s grace appear?
- What did God’s grace bring?
- What does God’s grace train us to do?
- How does God’s grace help us to live?
- What does God’s grace help us to wait for?
-
Digging deeper into these verses with our children is how we can teach them to read and apply God’s Word to our lives. Asking questions helps them think through faith matters for themselves and prayerfully gives them the desire to own their faith.
The last two verses (13-14) in this passage speak to Jesus’ work and second coming and also has action words attached to it. Those two words are redeem and purify. Look up the meaning of these two words with your children, and discover together why Jesus gave himself up for us and how we have “blessed hope” in Jesus’ return.
I pray your faith continues to grow and be an example to your children, leading them to their own deepening faith and growth.
God Bless,
Mandy
