KIDS and YOUTH MATERIALS
Dear GCBC Parents:
Today’s sermon will be about how Jesus is eternal, earthly, and exalted from Hebrews 1:1-4. Below, I’ve given three Bible passages to explore these ideas further (found in one of the pdf links, “Digging Deeper,” as well). I’m also including some links as resources for you, parents, as you teach your children/teens about the Christian faith.
Another resource I would love to see our families using is Right Now Media. Jason explained it last week and forwarded a link in the WhatsApp group and our Facebook page for you all. When you click on the link for “Galway City Baptist Church,” you will find material I have listed for Kids and Tweens. Our family have enjoyed these videos for quite some time, and we hope you like them, too!
Jesus prays for us in John 17:20-21, and I pray this prayer of unity for all of us as well. Even as we are physically apart, I pray that we will all be one, just as Jesus and the Father are one so that the world will believe in Jesus for salvation and eternal life.
God Bless,
Mandy

Digging Deeper Verses (NLT) (for children & youth) – Draw or write down your thoughts
Jesus is ETERNAL
Colossians 1:15-20 – “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.”
Jesus is EARTHLY
Philippians 2:6-8 – “Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.”
Jesus is EXALTED
Philippians 2:9-11 – “Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
What other truths do you know about Jesus?
